Really, Really Great Sunglasses, and a Very Pointy Pen

Haven't posted in quite awhile, but then again... I don't post frequently, either.

I just found my yellow black-and-white sunglasses, that I LOVE! Lost them a month or two ago. They were behind my telephone jack, which I don't understand. But now that I have them back, it's quite nice!

And then pen part, that has two parts to it.

1. Okay, okay, I have this /friend/. Well, we aren't really friends. I think more like colleagues? Anyways, I'll call him Dwight. Like from the Office, cause I'm watching that as I post. It's the Moroccan Christmas one!!! Meredith cracks me up. Actually, this is the only episode I like her in. Well, when Micheal's car 'accident' makes me laugh, too.

OFF TOPIC, CARLY!!

Oops, sorry. Anyways, I cracked a joke about if I liked Dwight. Which I don't, really! He's kind of a jerk, and pretty shallow. Chuck Bass kind of thing, with out the looks. But his best friend overheard it, and thought it would be funny if she made up a story where I liked him, and told Dwight. Ima call this girl Francine, as in Martha Jone's mother. But cleverly, I the almighty brilliant one thought he knew it was a joke. Mostly, because he knows I like this guy from out of town a lot. Which he knows!!!

Now, you might say, "He probably thought you were covering up the fact." But no! If I like you, I'm going to be extroidinarily blunt about it. You say, "What was the homework last night?", and I'll scream, 'You're Hot!"

Not really, but I wouldn't lie about it. Nothing ever arises with lies.

Well, yeah, some does. But not this!

ANYWAYS!

I was JUST informed Francine was doing this /last night/. And apparently it's been going on for monthes. Also, he despises me now, which doesn't affect me /too/ much, cause I wasn't really one for the kind who yell at the teacher, but it does kind of make me mad. But I was going to be the bigger person with it all, until I found out the WHOLE grade now thinks I 'keep pictures of him in my pocket" and "he's my wallpaper". Thanks bunches, Francine. You've got some 'splainin' to do!

Anyways, just read The Lovely Bones, freaky story but good enough, I'd give give it only 6 out of 10, but the movie looks amazing. I'll definatly check that out.

Have you ever had a hobby nobody has ever known about, not out of shame or discomfort, but just out of uncertainty? Our Honor's English journal essay a few days or maybe weeks back was "Do You Have A Secret?" I almost laughed, such a dumb question. Who doesn't have a secret? I have lots, I'm sure you do too. Let's grab a coffee sometime and share a bit of news (or maybe its just gossip?) ;]

But, I just got to thinking, what's a secret about me? Not too deep, not exceedingly shock-factoristic, but surprising. I'm not shy, and I love to talk, memorizing is my thing when I want to, but in chorus, nahhh i just don't put forth the effort. Hey... just found my New Year's Resolution! That is, if the teacher WANTS me back, I have a nice, strong voice but she doesn't exactly appreciate me, if you get my know. Otherwise, I love to act, and have dreams of being an actress.

Yes, I heard you gasp, hush now, Susan Carly's turn to speak.

I love to download a script off the internet, and find a video on youtube.com of somebody also acting it, and be the leading actress, as I am always the star :)

I don't know why I never told anybody about this, maybe just cause I don't think of myself as that good. I've never acted in my life, I've sang, speeched, danced, but never acted. Only a nativity at church when I was younger, and since I disliked sheep and angels, and you could only be Mary once, I stuck to being a cow or a shepard. Tried to insist on being a cow this year, but nooo, too old and too tall. 5 foot 8 is not too tall, thank you very much.

And I am not old!

Bothersome, I wish I had told my mother about my love of acting when I was younger, and I could have thrown my cello out a window! Heavenly sound, that would make, along with my pink flats stomping on it in the snow. Oh, gorgeous! Don't tell my mother! I wouldn't ever do it, since I don't comepletely hate my cello, it has some sparks. Yet not too many! It really makes me irritable and frustrated, and probably is the number one thing that gets mum and I in a fight most of the time, and I'm still imagining my feet on it. Clomb clomb clomb!

31st of December, who knew it'd come so fast?

Resolutions? Oh dear, no idea.

Blond Moment-Remember last year, with my mates, they all said "So hungry, haven't eaten since last year!" after midnight, and i was positively lost! So here's me, thinking "Blimey, what are you talking about?" Then finally, it hits me, "Ohhh! It's no longer 2008..." Bit daft on my part, oops.

Also, another year of baseball, football, rugby, and soccer. Haha about the last one, it still dizts me when I think about it "They don't use their hands, right?" "Why does that look like a giant basketball net?" Talking about it at lunch a while ago, and still get joked about the whole "Now, what are the positions?" And my answer: "Well, there's the goalie... and the coach... and a center or something?" He elbowed me. Yowch. Now I know there are the Defenders, Forwards, Fullbacks, Midfielder, Striker, Sweeper... Anyways, watching my Torchwood season one with the sister, K, and her Owen! Back at Tardis Chicago, got her a signed picture of Naoko Mori next to Burn Gorman, so if i ever meet him, get it signed, too! The one with the gray rocky shore, that's Green Bay, outside the window of our condo, loved it, even though FREEZING outside!

The sunset is also of Green Bay, but it was across the bay at the haunted tour, which I'll put pictures on later.

The last one with the forestry is of my lake house view, love it. We're on the boat in it, and my sister was just about to break her arm while i wasn't looking. Greatest sister ever, eh?

:)

now, i understand that a lot of people here are not children, that the majority of you are adults and teenagers. But, my question isn't about the life ahead of you. It's about remembering the one before. Why do we grow up?

Walt Disney said “Too many people grow up. That's the real trouble with the world, too many people grow up. They forget. They don't remember what it's like to be 12 years old. They patronize, they treat children as inferiors. Well I won't do that.”

Ever since I was little, I've always thought of how adults talk to you like your a baby, even if you're seven or eight. When I talk to anyone younger than me, even my 3 year old nephew, I talk to them like any other person. Sure, maybe I'll say it with more of a smile, but it's still the same. When I talk to my nephew, I'm amazed by some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth, so, well, different... more imaginative than i hear from people my age and up. Growing up... oh dear. Not ready for it, but nobody ever is.

Bonjour, my loves! I'm sure of how much you ALL missed past couple of weeks that I haven't responded... sorry haha :) Lately, it's been waking up late and passing out early for me. And yet, I'm still exhausted by noon. School, blah, just ITBS prep, which I don't understand, especially for the fact it's it like March, but they don't seem to realize that. Read Julie and Julia, My Sister's Keeper, Gossip Girl, the new It Girl *squeal!*, and Time Traveler's Wife, which i STILL have yet to see the movie!!!Really fabulous books, adored them lots! Speaking of adored, boys have been driving me crazy for the past week! Since there are four of them that I really like, I call em the Beatles. John Lennon is certifiably crazy, being irritating as ever, Paul is still the same, cute but distant, Ringo is insane, and George, dear George, :). Have a nice thanksgiving everybody!

Vampire's Assistant

Bonjour, mon amies! :)

Pretty crazy weekend, had a friend come up from out of town, so a couple of guys and I went to go see vampire's assistant, which is propably one of the worst movies of the season.

First, what on earth was the difference between a vampire and the Vampinese? Seriously, on eats people, the other doesn't. Jeepers, they totally need different names to be vegans and vegetarians! Ugh.

Also, you hardly go to know the character. How were you supposed to care whether he won or not?

The freaks weren't that freaky, and the ones whom were were had easily catched fakeness. :P

The Daren kid bugged me and my friends a ton. His lines were written and said very dryily, and quickly took away your concentration to mumble something about him to the person sitting next to you.

Soda dripped on my hand. That was not the movies fault, but it was gross :( Also, the spiders were F-R-E-A-K-Y.

The best actors were definatly John C. Reilly as Larten Crepsly and Josh Hutcherson as Steve. Very good perfromances by both.

The little sixth graders are getting on my nerves. Too short, too full of themselves, and too annoying. Thats all I've got to say on that matter.
Nothing new with boys. Can't wait 'til they grow up. But, i wish You-Know-Who will forget You-Know-Her and get on with life... She does EVERYTHING for him, and you can see him screaming to get loose.

Who knows what's going on with that teacher, Mr. Longhorn. He is just a freaking creeper. Absent for the past few days, someone(s) said he's in prison. Teacher Drama HAHA

I had fingernails glued to my desk in Algebra. I swear, I could have thrown up. *shudders*

Well, nothing else really. Most people are heading out of Boston tomorrow, so it'll be pretty quiet. But who knows what't in store for Monday ;D

Well, I'm very tired.. sleepy, bored, writing papers, got back from the Central game! We lost... But it was fun! Pink hair streak, very amazing :] It'll wash out in the morning though. Which reminds me, I have to babysit. Fun.

Our school is the worst drama contender on Earth probably. So, what do you do when you get bored of talking? Keep an online journal on what they do. Ready to blow stuff out of proportion?Hey, I'm not Gossip Girl. But it will get fun :) this isn't stalking. If any one's stalking, its them.

What would you do, if your best friends and you at school were a very selective group of people? Your not the ultra-popular people, but the people who back up the populars when they're in a fight, and keep order in the school? Well, we're that. Past ex's start wishing for answers? Best friends start fighting worse than ever? That new girl is hanging out with the wrong chick's boyfriend? More girls. New students. Unsuspecting teachers. Welcome back to school. ;)

Anyways, so school gets back in, we're talking by the doors, when all of a sudden, guess who joins us. Tabitha. (Fake name) I haven't spoken to her in YEARS. There's a reason too. She's following us around like she's a puppy in New York City who sees the hot dog cart rolling. Yeah, that was a bad reference. Didn't really work. But you get the picture. How do you get rid of her? Anyone?

That new teacher is creeping me out... freaky... he just stands there, like he's waiting for you to move into his prey zone. Waiting for him to do something interesting...

New kids? Not many this year in our grade. But did you see those 6th graders??? They're so short! I swear! I'm not that tall, but even I have to look WAYYYY down to see them! They're fun to mess with in gym though! :)

Orchestra trip coming up soon! Excited, aren't we all :) Not joking

Nothing else for the moment.... Sunday is the boring day. Watching Doctor Who marathon... Torchwood on Tuesday. Haha Torchwood Tuesday! I crack myself up.

BLONDE MOMENT!

Okay, so I expect many of you to know about the show, The Doctors. Well, I was at a friends house watchin tv, and suddenly an ad popped up that said THE DOCTORS quite loudly. So, get this. I jump up, half knocked out because it was 3 am, and I yelled, not whispered, YELLED, "OH MY GOD, THERE'S MORE THAN ONE?" Then sit back down, gigling uncontrollably. I hardly remember, but we have it on camera. Thanks, M,for taping it! I was so embarraed! I can tell you, it was hilareous, though! If you don't get this, on Doctor Who, there's The Doctor, only one. I was so excited, I suppose. Great moments. Hm, maybe I should send that to some show. Ok! Thanks for reading! Have an amazing day!

Hey bloggers! Thanks for all the comments you've been leaving! Hope to post more YouTube videos soon!

Anyways, a couple of days ago, I went to an amazing restaurant called Johnny's Steakhouse! I ordered this AMAZING appetizer that took my breath away! I wasn't very hungry, so I just ordered this dish, which I forgot the name of. Something like Johnny's Ravioli. (pictured) BRILLIANT! FANTASTIC! DELICIOUS! AAAMMMAAAAZZZIIINNNGGG!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely recommend it. The restaurant had an amazing atmosphere, great dessert list, although I didn't have any since I was full (wish I had!), fabulous service, and the music wasn't so loud that you couldn't hear over it, and not so quiet that you couldn't hear it! Loved it!

So, next time you're in Iowa, stop by Johnny's Steakhouse and have a wonderful meal!

One of my favorite songs is Disturbia, by Rihanna, and I was looking up Doctor Who videos using the song. I got plenty of Rose, Doctor and Alien ones, and then there were the average Donna ones. Until I came up this one! There was nothing average about this one! It was BRILLIANT!

I was at a Davenport Central game this Friday, and the Central Cake auction was going on! Just thought I'd take a few pictures of the cakes! Here they are!

The yellow one looked delicious. It was like lemon or something tart, and I completely CRAVED it!

The one on tin foil and says USA and 2009 on it is from the foreign exchange students!

A heart cookie cake looking one is from the varsity football team!

The soccer ball one is from, you guessed it, the soccer team!

The one that says DCXC is most likely the track one. Running people usually make me think of that. :)

The blue one that looks like play-dough was created by the DC Athletic Boosters!

The one with the macho football is from the 2008 Freshman Football team!

The pool with the divers is from the DC Boys Swim Team!

The little adorable schoolhouse with the words MADISON on it is from Madison Elementry, the greatest elementry school ever!

I haven't the clue where the heart cake with the rasberries and the little basketball hoop is from. Hmph. Cute cake, though!

Was reading an email, and thought I'd open this one called "Migrating Stingrays". Opened it, SHOCKED.

Looking like giant leaves floating in the sea, thousands of Golden Rays are seen under this, gathering off the coast of Mexico . The spectacular scene was captured as the magnificent creatures made one of their biannual mass migrations to more agreeable waters. Gliding silently beneath the waves, they turned vast areas of blue water to gold off the northern tip of the Yucatan Peninsula . Sandra Critelli, an amateur photographer, stumbled across the phenomenon while looking for whale sharks. She said, "It was an unreal image, very difficult to describe. The surface of the water was covered by warm and different shades of gold and looked like a bed of autumn leaves gently moved by the wind. It's hard to say exactly how many there were, but in the range of a few thousand. We were surrounded by them without seeing the edge of the school and we could see many under the water surface too. I feel very fortunate I was there in the right place at the right time to experience nature at its best" Measuring up to 7ft (2.1 meters) from wing-tip to wing-tip, Golden rays are also more prosaically known as cow nose rays.
They have long, pointed pectoral fins that separate into two lobes in front of their high-domed heads and give them a cow-like appearance. Despite having poisonous stingers, they are known to be shy and non-threatening when in large schools. The population in the Gulf of Mexico migrates, in schools of as many as 10,000, clockwise from western Florida to the Yucatan .

Miss Iowa!

Hey! Carly here, and making a quick note.
Miss Iowa won 2nd runner up in the Miss America pageant Saturday Night!
In case you didn't know, I'm an Iowan gal and was expecting to see Miss Iowa get left out of the top 15. Now, here I was, with my friends, and watching the Miss America pageant. And BOOM! There she was, standing there with all the other top 15 Misses!
Long story short, we became second runner up! Congrats, Miss Iowa!
So, that's it! BTW My two favorite Miss Iowa's were Mary Beth in 1978 and Robin in 1987. I wonder what they're like now.

That is the most amazing book I have ever read!

Before I read any Twilight books, I always thought that the fans of it were a little bit, well, insane.
I totally get it now.

Edward Cullen is the newest addition to my list of people I would KILL to meet. Well, maybe not kill but oh well. Of course, David Tennant and Owen Harper (from Torchwood...real name is Burn Gorman) take up one and two on the list. No surprise there.
I've finished Twilight a bit ago and have half an epilogue left of New Moon. Trying to make it last until the first Monday in February. REALLY HARD. It's like not looking at a picture of The Doctor for a day. Ugh.

Bonjour! (see? I'm finally getting the hang of this French thing!)

It's Carly! Not that hobo that lives in the quick shop by Central!
I went to Chicago for a field trip quite a while ago...October 29, I think. I've always had a thing for Chicago, all the businesses and advertisements and people! We went to see the musical, Wicked. Amazing!!!!! But just outdoor Chicago was great, so I thought it was fantastic for photos. I took tons of pics on my phone, though most of them got deleted by accident, about 30. I only have 13 left, so I decided to upload them into a computer file and create a little collage-thing. Here it is!

I'll describe them right now!

Top Left Corner-Some building that I fell in love with. Not fancy, nor high-tech, but gorgeous.
Right of T.L.C-just a sweet little park that had a few sculptures.
Bridge over river-I liked how the vines and bushes crept down the bridge sides
Huge Picture In The Right Top Corner- OH MY GOODNESS I LOVE THIS PIC!!! I'll explain it more in the end
Middle Left-This sculpture that had blown my mind away. I thought it was a ramp at first!
Bottom Left Corner-It's a random red building that was interesting. Nothing much.
2nd Photo On The Bottom-Shiny buildings! That's it. Truthfully, I didn't care much for the photo.
3rd Photo On The Bottom-Entrance to the door...something with the number 77. It was my favorite number at the time. Not anymore. Let's just say it had to do with a boy.

You probably know of Pal and Tango, my Shetland Sheepdogs! I was texting my good friend Lynn and she said she had been reading my blog earlier today and saw my shelties. She has one too, so I walked over there and saw her pup, Mia! She told me all about her, and there were tons of hilarious stuff about her! I thought, Hey, this would make a neat new section to my blog, Funny Stuff you've seen Someone/Something do! So I chatted a bit more, then headed back to my house and sat here! She texted me some stories about her! And I sent them to my email and copy and pasted them here! So Here You Go!

Lynn: Hi! This is my Shetland sheepdog, Mia! Once, she was in the snow and she [randomly] decided to lay down in the snow! {Carly here! In case you didn't know, Iowa snow at this time of year is DREADFUL! It's usually a foot or so deep! Mia would have been covered the minute she lied down! } Then, she decided to eat the yellow snow! {You should understand that...} [Then] she saw a bird after it rolled in the snow {Haha! Penguins roll in the snow....sorry that just had to be said...sorry.} Then, [after all this mayhem she had done] she went to the door, telling us she was done. Then she barked at our cat [the second she stepped back in] and ran around the house a few times {Isn't her energy all gone?} Then, she went to sleep.

Oh my goodness. I'll tell you one thing:
When planning on giving an injured dog a bath, plan on getting soaked.
You're probaly saying, Well, duh. That's kind of like the whole point of a dog bath, [on] planning to get drenched.
But please understand. He can hardly stand up on his own. How was I to know that he was quite capeable of standing up and shaking himself dry in the tub? Doesn't make much sense. But I guess it kinda does. Actually, it doesn't. Scratch that.
I have some pics of it, so here you go.

UPDATE!

Pally has walked today! Couple of steps, not nearly as much as Tango had been walking at this point, but clearly a big move! Pal looks much more "perky" and seems to be much, much happier!

New Who-The 11th Doctor

Hola! The results are in, and the new Doctor is Matt Smith!
If you watch Dr. Who, you would know that there have been 10 doctors over the years until last night, when Doctor 11 was announced. The past Doctors have been:

William Hartnell
Patrick Troughton
Jon Pertwee
Tom Baker
Peter Davison
Colin Baker
Sylvester McCoy
Paul McGann
Christopher Eccleston
David Tennant
Matt Smith

All of these Doctors have had their own trademark-type thing, such as always Peter Davison wearing a piece of celery, Colin Baker always carrying an umbrella and wearing rather bright clothing, and now David Tennant and his amazing shoes (those All-Star like ones...who makes his shoes anyways?).

I wonder how well of a Doctor Matt Smith will turn out to be, as he is the youngest actor ever to play the role of our favorite Time Lord, at the young age of 26! That is three years younger than the 2nd youngest Doctor, Peter Davison who auditioned for the Doctor at age 29.

Merry Christmas!

yeah, that's it. Happy holidays. Tis the season. Fa la la la la. Okay. Happy now?

Just kidding. But I don't feel like sticking on the subject for 10 hours.

Well, for Christmas I've received Doctor Who season 4 DVDs!!!!! YAY! Defiantly one of my favorite gifts! Episode 8 (counting the Titanic-Voyage-Astrid Peth episode/special) is "The Unicorn and the Wasp", which is based on Agatha Christie and what happened those 11 days in 1926 that she went missing. LOVE the episode, an felt like I should explore the real Agatha Christie's disappearance. So off I went on Google, and some might say never to use Wikipedia, but I did. I came to this page which you can reach by clicking this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agatha_Christie .I found out little about her disappearance. But what I did find was this weird thing. Now before you go all "Oh my gosh. You actually believe in Doctor Who?", I don't. I love the show, but am not that psycho. If you go to the bottom of the page, about 1/3 down, you see a graph that lists all her novels. Number 4 is The Man in the Brown Suit. If you watch the show, you'll be all "OMG!!!!!!" like you know what I'm talking about. THE 10TH DOCTOR (Mr. David Tennant) ALWAYS WEARS A BROWN SUIT!!!! Weird, right? Now, the episode right before "The Unicorn and the Wasp" is "The Doctor's Daughter". A Daughter's a Daughter was written in the late 1930s as a play. It was performed professionally once. It was unpublished but turned into the 1952 Mary Westmacott (who actually was Agatha Christie) novel. Odd, huh!
Just a weird thing. Felt like mentioning it. :)

My poor dog

My dog was in an accident late Friday night.....hit by a car....broken leg. Just wanted to post these images up somewhere besides myspace. The one with the words on it, PAL AND TANGO, was taken by my sister at my lake house a couple of years ago. They haven't changed what they look like, and they both are still around. Pal was in the accident. The pic of him on the couch was the best digital photo I had of the dog. This is at my lake house also. The next two look alot alike. They're both at my house. Pal's laying on his bed because he can't walk yet, and he's cold. There's a towel on him! The next photo is his sad little face. Next, he's sleeeeeeeeeeeepy! Poor baby! Pal's leg is the next photo. Not for the queasy. Oh no! Pal fell off his bed! That's the next pic. Don't worry. My sis picked him up. Up next, Pal had just gotten home from his procedure, and he was still a little confused. Last, Pal sat up a bit! That good'ol boy!

Well, that's it! I'll keep posting about him, though!

Not much to say here, but hope that you don't get stuck with a miserable family, a can of molded cranberry sauce, or a dog that won't eat your vegetables. Even if you do, gotta love your family, kiss your dog, and there's always turkey and stuffing to fill you up instead of the sauce.

I have just competed in a mock trial state wide tournament!!!!

I know some of you might say, "Mocl Trial, That's soooo dorky!!!"
Hey, It's dorkey when you don't sign up and there's the most popular girls, by your side, signing up with you.
My team which consists of 9, four attorneys, 3 wittnesses, 1 timekeeper, and one alternate. In the regionals,we had won fourth place, and were the state alternate. Over a long time, we fought for our chance to get in. Guess what? WE WON!!!!!

Then came State Mock Trial Tournament.
That was one of the most horrible weeks of my life. I couldn't sleep, couldn't eat, got angry real quickly, broke down in my closet. JK about the closet part. In every thing that a girl gets nervous about, people expect her to breakdwn in her closet. Does anyone even really do that???

It was a marvelous experience when we finally got there. Was having fun every minute. There was an awesome pool, freaking scary elevators that I got stuck in with this awesome girl whose like my best friend, but never really get the chance to talk to, and my crush that was freaking out with me! Didn't win, but was grateful. Couldn't take any more practicing for national.

So if you ever get the chance to join a mock trial tournament, take it!

Jack the Ripper

This is definatly not a man for the week and trembly.
I was reading this book yesterday, Do Not Open, and there was this part about Jack the Ripper. Now me, of course I looked it up on the web. Here's his story.

He was a large murderer in the fall of 1888. He killed many women, 5 of them are definatly his doing. They never caught the man who went by the name of "Jack the Ripper". He wrote letters, scribbled on a wall, and killed, killed, killed women. Here are the five proven, also known as the Canonical Five.

Mary Ann Nichols, she was killed Friday 31 August 1888 by extremly severe cuts in her neck that were absoulutly deep. Quote: the lower part of the abdomen was partly ripped open by a deep, jagged wound, and there also were several incisions running across the abdomen, and three or four similar cuts on the right side caused by the same knife used violently and downwards.
Annie Chapman, she was killed Saturday 8 September 1888. Quote:Like Mary Ann Nichols's, her throat was severed by two cuts, one deeper than the other. The abdomen was ripped entirely open and her uterus was removed.
Elizabeth Stride, she was killed Sunday 30 September 1888 by Quote:There was one clear-cut incision on the neck; the cause of death was massive blood loss from the nearly severed main artery on the left side. The cut through the tissues on the right side was more superficial, and tapered off below the right jaw.
Catherine Eddowes, she was killed the same day as Elizabeth Stride. Quote:The throat was, as in the former two cases, severed by two cuts; the abdomen was ripped open by a long, deep, jagged wound. The left kidney and the major part of the uterus had been removed.
Mary Jane Kelly, she was killed Friday 9 November 1888. Quote:Her throat had been severed down to the spine, and her abdomen virtually emptied of its organs. Her heart was missing.

There were others that might have been affected by Jack the Ripper, but the are not definate.

After the murders of Stride and Eddowes, they were searching and found a bloodstained piece of apron that had belonged to Eddowes. There was writing on the wall above where the apron was found that, said in white chalk, read: "The Juwes are the men that will not be blamed for nothing."

There were three letters that were all very scary. I am quoting these letters.

The "Dear Boss" letter, dated 25 September, postmarked and received 27 September 1888, by the Central News Agency, was forwarded to Scotland Yard on 29 September. Initially it was considered a hoax, but when Eddowes was found three days after the letter's postmark with one ear partially cut off, the letter's promise to "clip the ladys [sic] ears off" gained attention. Police published the letter on 1 October, hoping someone would recognise the handwriting, but nothing came of this effort. The name "Jack the Ripper" was first used in this letter and gained worldwide notoriety after its publication. Most of the letters that followed copied the tone of this one. After the murders, police officials contended the letter had been a hoax by a local journalist.
The "Saucy Jacky" postcard, postmarked and received 1 October 1888, by the Central News Agency, had handwriting similar to the "Dear Boss" letter. It mentions that two victims — Stride and Eddowes — were killed very close to one another: "double event this time". It has been argued that the letter was mailed before the murders were publicised, making it unlikely that a crank would have such knowledge of the crime, though it was postmarked more than 24 hours after the killings took place, long after details were known by journalists and residents of the area. Police officials later claimed to have identified a specific journalist as the author of both this message and the earlier "Dear Boss" letter.
I don't like the name of this one, so I'm changing the title a bit.
The "From Heck" letter, also known as the "Lusk letter," postmarked 15 October and received by George Lusk of the Whitechapel Vigilance Commitee on 16 October 1888. Lusk opened a small box to discover half a human kidney, later said by a doctor to have been preserved in "spirits of wine" (ethanol). One of Eddowes' kidneys had been removed by the killer. The writer claimed that he had "fried and ate" the missing kidney half. There is some disagreement over the kidney: some practical joke, and no more."

This week, my Honors English class had to pick a philosepher to write a report on. I did Albert Camus, and He was REALLY weird.

He was this dude who didn't live in the USA. I think it was like Bolgeria or something along those lines. He was a guy who live like 40 years ago, so he wasn't like Plato, who's name is not pronounced Play-dough.

He was against automobiles, and then KILLED by one. Super weird.

My buddy, Hannah, is super-smart and like, not stupid. When she emailed this to me, I about wet my pants laughing.

Hi, this is Hannah. I am in 6th grade at Carly's school. My now ex-boyfriend, Kolby, and I were passing notes in Science, as I also was with my friend Maddie.I was going to send a note to Maddie that asked her if she was going to my skater friend, Aly's party. But I was also sending a note to Kolby that asked him the same thing, but it had purple frilly hearts with smileys drawn into them. Maddie's had shiny star stickers with mustaches drawn in them with Sharpie. I, very very very very very stupidly, was throwing them acroos the room. I have no idea how I did this, but I had messed up the names and sent Kolby's to Maddie and Maddie's to Kolby. Kolby sent back a reply quickly, saying no, and Maddie did not talk for Quite A While.

Gawd, Hannah. Next time, check the names, genius.

I was with my little sister ( She's 11) and we were talking about the Bermuda Triangle. I told about all the planes, ships, blah blah blah that crashed on it blah blah blah. Well, my mom came in and asked what we were doing, and I said Bemuda bla blah blah. My little sister asked my mom if she ever went, and my mom said yes, on a cruise when she was Miss Iowa. Then my little siter asked if she'd died. Seriously!!!! And no my mom didn't die.
